About the role.
You’ll carry out functional health assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your clinical insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine a person’s eligibility for benefits.
Every assessment is different – you might work on complex cases involving veterans, or cases involving neurological conditions, industrial injuries and respiratory diseases. We’ll make sure you get the time you need with each customer to undertake a quality and respectful assessment.
- A GMC registered doctor with 1 year’s broad post-registration experience in the UK
- A proactive and keen learner with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Someone who is comfortable working towards individual and team targets
- An expert clinician comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including complex cases and mental health conditions

Continuing medical education
We provided protected time for CPD and clinical development, which counts towards your revalidation. We also host an annual Clinical Conference to broaden your clinical knowledge, and offer our doctors the chance to study a Diploma in Occupational Medicine.

We have a dedicated team that will support you through the revalidation process, and ensure you meet your revalidation requirements through ongoing CPD. We'll also reimburse your revalidation fees.
